How to Grow on Instagram

If showing up on Instagram feels overwhelming or like it’s not working, you’re not alone. I work with business owners every day who are posting regularly, following trends, and still not seeing growth. The good news is growth is still possible. It just starts with a shift from scattered effort to aligned strategy.

In this post, I’ll walk you through a simple framework I use inside my coaching containers to help you grow with confidence and clarity.

Step One: Get Clear on Your Message

Before you focus on hashtags or how often you post, step back and ask yourself what you really want to say.

Growth comes when your content is grounded in a clear message. Choose three core themes that you want to be known for. Use those themes to guide your posts, captions, and stories.

When people know what you stand for, they know why they should follow you.

Step Two: Create Content That Connects

You don’t need to go viral. You need to be valuable.

Content that makes your audience feel seen, supported, or inspired is what builds trust. And trust is what turns followers into clients.

Focus on:

  • Posts that educate and solve real problems

  • Stories that show your values and personality

  • Behind the scenes moments that build connection

Don’t post just to keep up. Post to create a real relationship.

Step Three: Stay Consistent Without Burning Out

If content creation feels like a full-time job, you’re not doing it wrong. You might just be doing too much on your own.

Consistency doesn’t mean posting constantly. It means finding a rhythm that works for your life, your energy, and your goals.

Your Weekly Content Rhythm

Time commitment: around 20 minutes a day

Monday: Brain dump ideas
Write down any client questions, recent wins, stories, or thoughts that came up over the weekend.

Tuesday: Draft 2 to 3 captions
Use your content pillars to guide your writing. You don’t have to say it all at once. Focus on one message at a time.

Wednesday: Create visuals
Design simple graphics or carousels using Canva or repurpose what you already have.

Thursday: Schedule your posts
Use a free tool like Meta Business Suite or Instagram’s scheduler to queue your content.

Friday: Engage and reflect
Respond to comments and DMs. Celebrate what you shared instead of focusing on what didn’t get posted.

Trying to figure it all out on your own isn’t the most efficient way to grow. It’s also not the most aligned.

You Don’t Have to Do It Alone

Trying to figure it all out on your own isn’t the most efficient way to grow. It’s also not the most aligned.

Inside my coaching, I help you simplify social media, clarify your message, and build a plan that fits your business and your energy. If you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and start seeing traction, I’d love to connect.
